Baltimore’s Question H supports future female candidates [Op-Ed]

On Tuesday, voters in Baltimore will have the opportunity to pass public financing for local elections. In addition to breaking down financial barriers for all candidates, this measure could make it easier for women to run for office in Baltimore. Historically, women running for office rely more heavily on small-dollar donations than their male counterparts. Establishing a public financing system would help make Baltimore’s local government more representative.
