With Public Financing And Pay-To-Play Prohibitions, Sweeping Changes Are Coming to D.C. Politics

The D.C. City Council has passed legislation that, among other reforms, will lower contribution limits for individuals or businesses applying for contracts with the city government. Paired with the recent small-donor match public financing system passed earlier this year, this legislation has the potential to fundamentally change how campaigns are run in D.C. for the better.
