Albany’s Progress on Voting: Two Cheers for Now (Letter)

In a letter to the New York Times editorial board, Jerry Goldfeder, former special counsel for public integrity to Governor Cuomo during his tenure as Attorney General, praised the legislature for finally passing key voting reforms. The state remains short of deserving a full “three cheers,” however.  To warrant greater praise, Goldfeder encourages legislators in Albany to advance even “more robust election reform,” such as a small donor public financing system for the state.
