State Senator Myrie Wants ‘Big Money Kept out of Elections’

With the April 1 deadline looming and advocates demanding that public financing be included in the New York State budget, the Senate Elections Committee held a hearing on the reform on March 21.  Senator Zellnor Myrie, Chairman of the Committee on Elections, said, “there is no way to strike at the root of our state’s problems and inequities without publicly financed elections.”
