NY May Have Just Taken A Step Toward Reform (Op-Ed)

The appointment of the nine members to the public financing commission was an “important step” toward reforming campaign finance in Albany, writes New York Public Interest Research Group’s Blair Horner.  A public financing system would provide candidates with an alternative to the state’s “pay-to-play” political culture, in which money impacts legislative priorities and other important decisions.
