Big questions remain for NY’s public campaign finance plan

The Public Campaign Financing Commission has major policy questions to answer before its December 1 deadline, including whether or not to lower contribution limits for non-participating candidates and a potential differentiated match according to district income. In response to the latter proposal, the Brennan Center for Justice said in a memo that it is not against the idea but cautioned the Commission that it is “an untested model.”
