During Monday’s working meeting, the members of the Public Campaign Financing Commission came to an agreement on several components for a statewide public financing system, including the size of matchable contributions and caps on public funds. On the topic of setting contribution limits, which remains unsettled, Commissioner Henry Berger explained, “What we’re creating is meant, among other things, to change behavior. We want people going out and seeking the smaller contributions. And we want them seeking them within their district.”
