This year, six candidates with backgrounds in science, technology, engineering, math and medicine were elected to the House of Representatives. All have supported campaign finance reform, and two in particular, Sean Casten and Chrissy Houlahan, have vocally championed public financing to help electeds spend their time legislating, not fundraising, and address a lack of candidate diversity.
